Diets For Weight Loss
I am 40 years old with type 2 diabetes. I did raw food and green juices in 2008 and lost 30 pounds in two months. I went off my diabetes medications. I stopped eating so much raw food and I lost some of the benefits. I am recommitting to raw foods, this is my journey. This is my first progress update since starting. I will put “Quick Links” on my channel under the info section for you to easily check out my other videos. Subscribe to my youtube Channel! You could always go raw food and instead of mainly drinking juice… you could eat three meals a day [all raw or what ever percentage you want] adn have the juice as a side or snack.
Your skin still should be great, but maybe the weight loss wouldn’t be as fast!
Wasn’t sure is that was already wwhat you were doing, but good luck!

I wasn’t sick at all and I felt really good. But I’m 40 years old and and my skin isn’t as elastic as it used to be lol. I wanted to give it a chance to bounce back. Plus It was kind of scary to say, I lost 30 pounds in two months. I don’t know why, haha. I also was having a little hair loss because I had shocked my body by jumping in to 100% raw all of a sudden. That stopped, but now it’s happening again for a whole different reason, not related to diet – my poor hair!

Hi Bjay ~ What a great story! Thanks for sharing. I’ve recently gone mostly raw. 70% to 100%, depending on the day. Like you I eat much that would be categorized as vegan but I do not identify that way at all either. Since I do eat fish, dairy and sometimes meat. Though I haven’t wanted much chicken and I’m tending to do fish [love sushi!] and dairy raw…Curious: why did you feel you were losing weight too fast? Were you having a bad experience with that? Did you get sick?

Good for you for having the wisdom and foresight to try to prevent it! I wish I would have been that smart.
Sounds like you are doing awesome. I started a blog. I’ll be putting up lots of info on there about diabetes and prevention. I have a link to it in my info section on my channel. Won’t let me put the link here. Good luck and I’m sending you lots of good vibes.

Super Duper. I have had the same results eating raw. I have lost 40 lbs since Nov 15 08. It really works. I feel so much better and after 3 months…the other food does not satisfy me. I do not feel good after eating the food I used to eat. I have no desire to eat bread, but I do love chewing it. I do eat meat but only once a day if that and a small amount of lean meat. Beans are a great source of protein. Congratulations!
